Moose Vets visit Kids at IWK
-www.halifaxmooseheads.ca
Konrad Abeltshauser, Darcy Ashley along with Co-Captains Trey Lewis and Stefan Fournier, made the Mooseheads first visit to the IWK this season. The Moose players spent some time in the teen lounge at the IWK making some new friends as their board game, billiards, and guitar hero abilities were put to the test.
Abeltshauser currently leads all QMJHL defenseman in points with 19 (1G, 18A) and gets credit for a big assist as he donated all of his personal tickets to the IWK to give children at the hospital a chance to see their favourite team in action. This is the third consecutive season Abeltshauser has donated his tickets to the IWK and continues to show his passion off the ice of helping out in the community.
The Mooseheads hit the road for two weeks with games in Drummondville, Rimouski, Gatineau and Victoriaville. The Mooseheads will dawn their special naval themed jerseys in honour of DND Appreciation Night at their next home game on Friday, November 16th. Their opponent the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies currently have the two leading scorers in the QMJHL, Jean Sébastien Dea and Sven Andrighetto each have 31 PTS in just 16 games, only two more than the Mooseheads’ Nathan MacKinnon who has registered 29 PTS to lead the Mooseheads.
