Titan Overpower Moose 5-1
-www.halifaxmooseheads.ca
The Acadie-Bathurst Titan walked into the Metro Centre and put the body to the Mooseheads for 60 minutes Saturday night.
The Titan, one of the bigger teams that have visited the Moose Country this season, threw some big hits early and seemed to confuse the Mooseheads most of the night as they struggled defensively. Nathan MacKinnon scored the lone goal on a nice three way play with Jonathan Drouin and Andrew Ryan. MacKinnon's goal cut a 2-0 Titan lead in half near the end of the 2nd period. The Titan would score a backbreaking goal shorthanded at the end of the 2nd period though that seemed to deflate the Moose for the night. The Titan would score 2 more in the 3rd for a 5-1 win.
The Herd now enter their most difficult stretch of the schedule visiting Baie-Comeau, Chicoutimi, Shawinigan and Victoriaville in 5 nights. The Mooseheads are back on home ice Thursday, February 16th when the Rimouski Oceanic make their only visit to Moose Country this season, followed by the high-flying Victoriaville Tigres on Friday, the 16th.
