The Herd turned in one of, if not their best, 60 minute efforts Tuesday night at the Metro Centre in a 6-4 win over the PEI Rocket.  The Moose, missing 7 regulars due to injuries and IIHF world tournaments, brought their lunchpails outshooting the Rocket 46-22 and having 6 different players hit the back of the net.  Darcy Ashley, Trey Lewis, Cameron Critchlow, Alex Grenier, Travis Randell and Brad Cuzner all scored for the Moose.  Lewis, Critchlow, Ashley and Randell all added assists as well. Gabriel Desjardins and Konrad Abeltshauser each added 2 assist.  Marc-Olivier Daigle made 18 saves picking up his first QMJHL win.

The Herd will now travel to Sydney for the first half of the Battle of Nova Scotia tomorrow night at Centre 200.  The Herd and the Screaming Eagles will be back at the Metro Centre on Friday night, December 30th for a 7pm puck drop.  For tickets visit the Ticket Atlantic Box Office, select Superstore Outlets, www.ticketatlantic.com or charge by phone 451-1221.

My first game this year. At times I felt the moose needed some energy. Why Luke Warner was not put in those situations, I could not understand. If this team is to move into a contender situation 1-2yrs they need players like Luke Warner( call-up) in their line-up. 100% skill will not win you campionships. Think of the Sean Avery`s of the hockey world! I feel Luke is that type of team player. Great job Moose
