The Herd turned in one of, if not their best, 60 minute efforts Tuesday night at the Metro Centre in a 6-4 win over the PEI Rocket. The Moose, missing 7 regulars due to injuries and IIHF world tournaments, brought their lunchpails outshooting the Rocket 46-22 and having 6 different players hit the back of the net. Darcy Ashley, Trey Lewis, Cameron Critchlow, Alex Grenier, Travis Randell and Brad Cuzner all scored for the Moose. Lewis, Critchlow, Ashley and Randell all added assists as well. Gabriel Desjardins and Konrad Abeltshauser each added 2 assist. Marc-Olivier Daigle made 18 saves picking up his first QMJHL win.
The Herd will now travel to Sydney for the first half of the Battle of Nova Scotia tomorrow night at Centre 200. The Herd and the Screaming Eagles will be back at the Metro Centre on Friday night, December 30th for a 7pm puck drop.
