Mooseheads Win in Shootout over Eagles

The Mooseheads won a rollercoaster of a pre-season game Friday night in North Sydney at the Emera Centre.
The Mooseheads jumped out to the 3-0 lead on the strengths of goals by Stefan Fournier, Brent Andrews and Brendan Duke. The Eagles would storm back with 3 goals of their own in a 5 minute span midway through the 2nd period to quickly tie it at 3. Alexandre Lavoie would score midway through the 3rd period in what looked to be the eventual game winner for the Eagles before Jonathan Drouin notched his first of the pre-season with just 2.5 seconds on the clock.
Darcy Ashley and Dominic Beauchemin, with the game winner, scored in the shootout for the Moose. Chris Clarke (8/8) and Anthony Terenzio (8/12 and 4/5 in the shootout) took the victory in goal. Nathan MacKinnon, Marty Frk, Zach Fucale and Konrad Abeltshauser did not dress for the Moose.
The Moosehead and Eagles will revisit their rivalry Sunday afternoon in Halifax at 4pm at the Forum. Tickets are available for $7 at the Halifax Forum Box Office.
