Mooseheads Visit Big Fans in IWK

When the Mooseheads heard that one of their biggest fans who is a Nova Scotia Novice Selects hockey player will miss his summer hockey season due to an injury they wanted to pay him a visit. Mitchell Shewfelt who is a Nova Scotia Selects alumni and Martin Frk who is still training in Halifax for the NHL Combine stopped by the IWK on Tuesday to spend some time with Ryan Langlois who’s unfortunate accident ruptured his spleen and will keep him off the ice for most of the summer.
Ryan who has a bright hockey future is a dedicated Mooseheads fan and attended just about every game this season. Shewfelt and Frk enjoyed talking with Ryan and playing an exciting Winter Classic matchup on EA Sports NHL 2012 on Xbox. Shewfelt was able to give Ryan some advice on how to make the most of his remaining time in the hospital as Shewfelt spent an entire summer in the IWK after complicated leg surgery when he was 13-years-old.
The Mooseheads would like to congratulate Ryan’s team who sent him an honorary gold medal from their recent win at the Bluenose Cup tournament. The Mooseheads would also like to wish Ryan a speedy recovery and was impressed with the progress he made during their visit with him.
