Moose win Game 1 of Rookie Series with Cape Breton

The rookies helped the Mooseheads kick off the pre-season with a win tonight at the Halifax Forum.

 

The Mooseheads rookies slid by the Cape Breton rookies 3-2 on the strength of goals by Brian Lovell, Joel Blanchard and Max Lindsay.  The Herd led 1-0 after 1 and 2-0 after 2 periods.  The Eagles pressured to tie the game late but ran out of time.  Chris Clark and Marc-Olivier Daigle split the win in goal.  Close to 1,400 fans took in the saturday night contest.

 

The Mooseheads rookies will now travel to Sydney for a rematch tomorrow with Screaming Eagles.
