Moose Home Streak Comes to an End

Ryan Falkenham's 1st career QMJHL goal was a beauty, but it wasn't enough to get the Moose 2 points against the PEI Rocket Friday Night at the Metro Centre.

All streaks must come to an end.  And they did for the Mooseheads Friday night.

A stubborn PEI Rocket team that just wouldn't go away edged the Moose 5-4 on the strength of Ben Duffy's game winner 13 seconds into the 3rd period.  The Herd got off to a rough start when the Rocket scored 2 goals in the first 1:26 of the game.  Cameron Critchlow would cut the lead in half before the end of the 1st period off a Konrad Abeltshauser shot from the point.  Back to back goals by Marty Frk and Konrad Abeltshauser gave the Moose a 3-2 lead before the Rocket would sandwich two goals between Ryan Falkenham's first career QMJHL goal as the teams were tied at 4 after 2.  Duffy's goal, his 16th point in 6 games against the Mooseheads this season, was the only goal of the 3rd period.  Konrad Abelshauser finished the game with a goal and 2 assists.  The Mooseheads outshot the Rocket 31-23.

No time to dwell on this loss as the Moose host Jonathan Huberdeau, Nathan Beaulieu and the Saint John Sea Dogs aSaturday night at the Metro Centre.
