The Mooseheads gained a valuable 2 points in the standings Monday night at the Metro Centre.

The Herd trailed 2-1 after 1 period of play as the Rocket seemed to catch the Moose off guard as PEI came out firing.  Matt Boudreau scored the lone goal for the Moose in the opening frame.  The Mooseheads took control from the 2nd period on outshooting the Rocket 16-6 while getting 2 goals from Darcy Ashley and another from Marty Frk for a 4-2 lead after 2.  The Rocket cut the lead to 4-3 halfway through the 3rd before the Moose broke out for 2 more goals from super rookies Jonathan Drouin and Nathan MacKinnon.  Drouin would finish the night with a goal and 3 assists.  Zach Fucale made 14 saves for his 31st win of the season.
