Moose Double Up Foreurs
-www.halifaxmooseheads.ca
It wasn't the prettiest of victories, but the Herd will take it.
The Mooseheads jumped out to a 4-2 lead after a wild 1st period where the goals were coming fast and furious. Scoring for the Moose in the first period were Nathan MacKinnon, Konrad Abeltshauser, Cameron Critchlow and Darcy Ashley. The Foreurs would score the only goal of the 2nd period to climb back within 1 in a period where turnovers were coming a rapid pace, but the goaltending was equal to the task. The Herd would score the only goals of the 3rd period with MacKinnon and Ciampini finding the back of the net. MacKinnon and Ashley both finished with 3 pts nights. Rookie Zach Fucale made 23 saves on the night to pick up his 8th win of the season.
The win improves the Mooseheads record to 13-5-1 on the season. Next up for the Herd is a big game next Friday night, November 11th when the Herd welcome the 11-8 Baie Comeau Drakkar.
