It wasn't the prettiest of victories, but the Herd will take it.

The Mooseheads jumped out to a 4-2 lead after a wild 1st period where the goals were coming fast and furious.  Scoring for the Moose in the first period were Nathan MacKinnon, Konrad Abeltshauser, Cameron Critchlow and Darcy Ashley.  The Foreurs would score the only goal of the 2nd period to climb back within 1 in a period where turnovers were coming a rapid pace, but the goaltending was equal to the task.  The Herd would score the only goals of the 3rd period with MacKinnon and Ciampini finding the back of the net.  MacKinnon and Ashley both finished with 3 pts nights.  Rookie Zach Fucale made 23 saves on the night to pick up his 8th win of the season.

The win improves the Mooseheads record to 13-5-1 on the season.  Next up for the Herd is a big game next Friday night, November 11th when the Herd welcome the 11-8 Baie Comeau Drakkar. The guys came out skating and shooting the puck and it paid off with the first period lead but then like Friday night they stopped skating and tried to get fancy with the puck and did not shoot too much.Even in the third period it did not look good till they started shooting pucks at the net and 2 of them went in from difficult angles. This team has to use their speed and stop trying to get the perfect goal, shoot the puck and you never know what will happen.I would also like to say "bravo" to the referees for stopping the game with 1.5 seconds to go.To play that last bit of time, with the way Val Dor was trying to start a fight, would have only been an opportunity for a brawl to happen.
