It was a good night for Zach Fucale and the Halifax Mooseheads.

The 16yr old rookie helped the Herd beat a team that's been a thorn in their side all season and in the process picked up his first career QMJHL shutout in a 2-0 win over the Moncton Wildcats Friday night.  Fucale made 29 saves and limited Moncton to very few second chances with excellant rebound control.  Brad Cuzner, on a beautiful individual effort, gave the Moose a 1-0 lead halfway through the 3rd period in a game that although scoreless until that point, was filled with scoring chances for both sides.  Roman Will, the Wildcats netminder, was indeed their best player making several highlight reel saves from start to finish.  Captain Cameron Critchlow scored an empty net goal with 10 seconds remaining to seal the victory.  The win improves the Mooseheads overall record to 22-10-1-2.

The Herd have one game remaining before the Christmas break on Sunday in Cape Breton.  The Herd's next home game is Tuesday, December 27th vs PEI at 7pm.  For tickets visit the Ticket Atlantic Box Office, select Superstore Outlets, www.ticketatlantic.com, or charge by phone 451-1221.
